According to a news item with a June 17, 1933 news item with a San Francisco dateline in the June 17, 1933 edition of the Oakland Tribune on Newspapers.com, George Barach, "a former pugilist," was sentenced to one year in the county jail after being found guilty of planting a stench bomb in a cafeteria. He was to serve four months in jail and the remaining eight month on probation.
According to the California, Death Index, 1940-1997 database on Ancestry.com, one George Barach was born on November 15, 1906 in Illinois and died on December 23, 1977 in San Francisco County, California. Note- Barach may have been born in Canada instead of Illinois.
