Vincent Releford, as an amateur, was a five-time Fort Worth (Texas) Golden Gloves champion and a four-time Star-Telegram Texas State titlest. From a boxing family, he is the brother of fellow pros: Anthony Releford and Kenneth Releford. He is also the uncle of former WBO Latin Champion, Kendrick Releford. Another brother of Releford -- George Releford -- was a top amateur boxer in Texas and in the U.S. Marine Corp.
