When Humberto Wilson made his debut in Valparaiso in July 1936, he had already compiled a record of 28-4-2 (18) fighting out of Tocopilla. Among his victims were Felipe Carretero, Hector Pairon, Rene Sanchez, Jorge Bersac and Dagoberto Ibanez (five times). His four losses were to Dagoberto Ibanez and Ubaldo Ibanez (three times). With the latter fighter he had also fought two draws. At the end of May 1938 his record stood at 45-5-4 (26).
