"Heavyweight Ibar Arrington, 196 1/2, Seattle, Wash., stopped Randy Neumann, 195, Cliffside Park, N.J., in the 5th round in quarter-final action in the World Television Boxing Championships. The scheduled 10-round heavyweight fight was stopped after the 4th round by Dr. W.L. Casio because of a deep cut in Neumann's left eyelid. Neumann was leading on two of the cards at the time of the stoppage, with the third card even." -Associated Press
