Lipembo versus Hlatshwayo

Faded former top welterweight contender and IBO welterweight champion Isaac Hlatshwayo got knocked out for the third time in four fights, this time by South African countryman Bongo Lipembo. It appears the Boxrec records of Lipembo's professional career were incomplete at the time of this bout. Lipembo was reported after winning this bout to have an accurate professional record of 13-2 with 10 knockouts, and not 7-2 with six knockouts as previously reported. Lipembo lost his first two bouts, then went on a tear. Including Hlatshwayo, Lipembo's last ten opponents, all in his native South Africa, were all knocked out. Boxing Scene on the internet correctly reported Lipembo's accurate fight record. Knocked down by a right hand in the second, Hlatshwayo managed to beat the count, but was out of it and the bout was stopped. There was nothing left.
