"A decisive defeat of Jack (Kid) Berg, the British whirlwind, has carried Sammy Fuller of Boston into the forefront of challengers for Tony Canzoneri's lightweight title. Fuller fought a cool, calculating battle against Berg before a slim crowd in the Garden last night. Ignoring Berg's light taps completely, Fuller waded in close and belted the Briton's body with savage left hooks through 12 rounds of furious milling and settled definitely the question of which of the two was the better man, after battling to a 10-round draw in the Garden recently." -Associated Press
