  • "The scheduled 10 round bout between Leo Houck of Pittsburgh and Jack Dillon of Indianapolis ended unexpectedly when Houck failed to leave his corner at the beginning of the 7th round. It was said he suffered a fractured rib but after an examination the club physician announced he found no traces of a fracture. Dillon punished Houck severely with body blows, forcing the Pittsburgh boxer to hold on throughout the contest." Brainerd Daily Dispatch
