    • "Jack Sharkey, 192, of Boston came through a clean winner over Johnny Risko, 192, of Cleveland in their 10-round bout in Mechanics Hall last night. The Boston man handled the visitor about as he pleased, blocking his opponent's best efforts and virtually coasting to an easy win. Risko captured the opening round by virtue of his tireless attack on Sharkey's body. Sharkey then started a jabbing spree in the 2nd round planting his left to Risko's face with discouraging accuracy. Sharkey held his lead from the 2nd round to the 8th, jabbing and hooking with good result. Risko made a gallant effort in the 9th with punches to the body that slowed down the Boston man. However, in the final round, Sharkey made up for it by outscoring his man three to one." -The Newbury Daily News
