Jack Welsh (Writer)

Jack Welsh was a boxing writer at various newspaper publications, including the Philadelphia Journal. For over the last twenty years he had covered the boxing scene in Las Vegas, for The Ring magazine, Flash/Professional Boxing Update; and, most recently, various Web sites, including Boxing Press, Ringside Sports, Boxing Las Vegas, and Boxing Insider.

Welsh was found dead in his apartment on April 25, 2005. He was in his early 80s. He had covered the April 23, 2005, boxing program ringside at Caesars Palace, which was headlined by Antonio Margarito and Kermit Cintron.
