Miceli boxed defensively, looking to counter LaBua with left hooks. LaBua was the aggressor, landing right hands. In the 5th round, Miceli caught LaBua with a series of lefts and rights to the head. LaBua was stronger though over the remainder of the bout, as Miceli faded, closing particularly strong in the 9th and 10th rounds.
