The Jai-Alai Fronton (also spelled phonetically as the Hi-Li Fronton) was a gambling hall and boxing venue located in Arabi, Louisiana. The Jai-Alai was located across from New Orleans in St. Bernard Parish, on the eastern bank of the Mississippi River. The venue thrived during Arabi's gambling era (1907-52) when gambling had been banned in Orleans Parish (New Orleans). The Jai-Alai Fronton, was among around five clubs located along the 100 block of Friscoville, which were easily accessible from New Orleans via the Canal Street Car Line. The club put on boxing shows in 1931 and 1932, as well as single shows in 1936 and 1937.
