  • Norwegian Bantamweight Anders Haga, (35) fought the up-and-coming Swede, Jan Persson (26), who was undefeated in 3 fights. Both weighed in at 55 kg. Persson was a southpaw, and his very first left dropped Haga for a short count in the first round. Haga started to figure out his difficult opponent in the 3rd round. His counter punches suprised the agressive Swede, and Hagas's infighting made him lose his rhythm. Persson was the stronger puncher of the two, and he clearly won the 6th and final round, sapping the strength from the veteran Norwegian. The verdict was a draw.

Persson got his revenge the following year, stopping Haga twice (in Gothenburg and Oslo)
