The JBC was established in April 1952 just before their first world champion Yoshio Shirai title shot at Dado Marino of Hawaii at the Korakuen Baseball Stadium on May 19 that year. It was liquidated on the 31st March 2022. Ryohei Nagata, the chairman of the board of JBC directors, said, “The JBC’s administration will be continued even in the process of liquidation without bothering the Japanese boxing activities.
