2004 Olympic heavyweight Estrada dropped Lawrence with a powerful overhand right followed by a left to the body combination in the second round. Lawrence, 39 years old and 11 years older than his opponent, beat the count, and looked ready to go, but in the exchange that followed, Lawrence got one of his hands 'tangled up' in the ropes, forcing the referee to stop the action and untangle the mess, giving him a chance to rest and regain his composure. The bout was even for the next four rounds, featuring alot of exchanges but nothing decisive. That changed late in the seventh, when Estrada, now 16-2 with 4 kayos, landed a powerful overhead right again, putting Estrada, 24-15 and no kayos, down and out, forcing the referee to stop the contest at 2:33.
