Bout Summary
- Pagara had trouble figuring out Gallegos in the first three rounds. He managed to land a few combinations here and there but Gallegos had no problem walking through them. Through the first three rounds, Gallegos used his height and reach advantage, as well as his jab, to keep Pagara at bay. Gallegos also threw some left hooks and combinations that landed. In Round 3, swelling began to form under Pagara's right eye.
- To start Round 4, Pagara landed a left to the body which caught Gallegos' attention. The momentum started to turn Pagara's way as he was connecting his 1-2 combinations consistently in the round. He was also able to connect with some left hooks and right uppercuts. Pagara was warned by referee Tony Pesons for hitting during a break. Near the end of Round 4, Pagara caught Gallegos flush with a left hook that had the Mexican staggering, Pagara followed this with a left jab that connected which sent Gallegos to the canvas. Gallegos didn't attempt to beat referee Tony Pesons count, as he was counted out at 2:59 of Round 4.
- With the win, Pagara gets his 15th straight victory and sixth straight by knockout since his first and only loss 3 1/2 years ago.
