Bout Summary

Molina controlled the action throughout. A right hand sent an outclassed but game Lopez to the mat in the opening round. He was up quickly and action continued. Molina continued to fire shots with little retaliation in the second, working in combinations both to the body and upstairs. Much of the same continued in Round 3 as in the previous. Lopez was warned in the round for holding. Lopez came out in Round 4 looking to go toe-to-toe and exchange with neither fighting landing with much effect. Despite trailing, Lopez began to step up his aggression in Rounds 5 and 6 finishing the 5th with a decent flurry. Molina worked behind the one-two and looked for countering opportunities against an at times overly aggressive Lopez.
