Alfano has served as Director of Boxing for 8 Count Productions (based out of Chicago, IL) since 1999. In 2005 he took on the additional duties as Executive Boxing Director for Ringside Ticket Inc.(based out of Santa Rosa, CA). He is also known to have close ties with such powerhouse promoters as Top Rank, Golden Boy, Main Events, Don King, DiBella, Duva Boxing, Peltz Boxing and many others; and has worked to make matches for all of these and more since 1998. Alfano spent seven years as a gym manager in Waukegan, IL and can still occasionally be seen working corners as a cutman or cornerman and has been in the corner of such notable fighters as Carmelo Negron, Rocky Martinez, Cory Spinks, and Nate Campbell.
