Miller, Jerry Wayne "Ace" Sr. - age 72 of Knoxville passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012. He was a living testimony of the love of the Lord Jesus Christ. Ace led an honorable life filled with dedication and years of hard work in the support of the Golden Gloves Boxing Program. His most treasured accomplishment was the marriage to Lady Di on August 6, 1962 only to be followed by the birth of his three children and becoming Pop-Pop to seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Best friend to Miss Dixie…the one who has stolen his heart with her looks and devotion! Ace was the Best Friend anyone could ask for…always supportive and dependable. FOREVER a Ya-Ya-Ya. He was a true and dedicated Father that has shown us all to love with all of our heart and unconditionally! Preceded in death by parents, Carlos and Edith Miller; beloved grandmother who raised him, Grandma Miller and Granddaddy; brother, Ted Ray Miller; sister, Jennie Lou Sendo; and daughter, Kelly Miller. Survivors include wife, Di Miller; son, Jerry Miller, Jr. and wife Denise; daughters, Tracy Davis and husband Greg, and Dusty Graves and husband Kelly; brother, Jim Denver Miller; sister, Barbara Sue Ferris; grandchildren, the Big Three…Dustin, Tyler, and BreAnna and husband Clint, the Final Four… Trace, KaLynn, Jackson, and Taylor; and Plus One…great granddaughter, Harmony; beloved cousin, J.R. Miller; and beloved companion, "Miss Dixie." A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 11, 2012, at the Ace Miller Golden Gloves Arena with the eulogy given by Mr. John Anderson and Rev. John Stone and Rev. Larry Cash officiating.
