Bash Ali 190 lbs beat Jesse Burnett 182 lbs by SD in round 12 of 12

"Bash Ali was a surprise split-decision winner over Jesse Burnett Wednesday night, a decision which is being challenged by Burnett's manager, Jesse Reid. The match was to decide the USBA cruiserweight title. In the 1st round, Burnett scored heavily with a right lead that sent Ali reeling across the ring. It was just 20 seconds into the bout and the crowd suspected an early finish. With 1:47 gone in the same round, Burnett caught Ali with a left hook that put the new champ down for the count of nine. The verdict took several minutes because of confusion with rookie judge Gwen Farrell's scorecard. Judge Farrell scored the 1st round 10-8 in favor of Ali, apparently mixing up her fighters. The scorecard was marked with lines drawn to the fighter she thought had won respective rounds." -Santa Ana Orange County Register
