"Top ranking bantamweight contender Jesus Pimental knocked out Frankie Leon of El Paso, Tex., with a left hook to the jaw after 52 seconds of the 4th round here Wednesday night. Leon, who had been battered by stiff lefts to the head and straight rights to the jaw in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, took referee Nate Morgan's count on his knees. After an even 1st round, Pimental took charge in the 2nd and 3rd stanzas, and finally measured Leon for good in the 4th." -United Press International
