"Jesus Pimental exploded a left hook to the jaw of Marciano Rivas in the 4th round Thursday night, knocking out his bantamweight opponent in their scheduled 10 rounder at the Olympic Auditorium. Pimental, 122, scored his 50th knockout as referee Dick Young stopped the bout at :48 of the round. Pimental pleased the crowd by attacking from the start. In the 3rd round he unleashed a series of lefts and rights to drop Rivas to the canvas twice. Then, in the next round, Pimental ended the one-sided affair with his 7th straight KO.
