Jimmy Allen's real name was Jimmy Tansy, from Spokane, Washington. He boxed as a welterweight and heavyweight.
Allen suffered a serious head injury in the Kahut fight and retired from active competition. He worked as Joey Dolan's handler in Dolan's Spokane fights and later was involved with Jimmy Reilly and Kaley Sonner in Spokane amateur boxing. He helped train Toby Gibson for his Olympic bid along with Reilly.
