Jimmy Brown was a welterweight and middleweight boxer out of Cincinnati, who fought primarily in Cincinnati and on the black boxing circuit in the Midwest and New Orleans. He later became a trainer of Ezzard Charles. Brown was one of three same-named boxers from Cincinnati. He was preceded by a white featherweight/lightweight who fought in the 1920s, and followed by a black Light heavyweight who boxed during the 1940s.
