Jimmy Dundee was a boxing promoter and matchmaker in Oakland, California, from the late 1940s through the early 1960s. Dundee initially became involved with Oakland promoter Jimmy Murray, working as Murray's matchmaker during the late 1940s through the early '50s. Eventually Dundee began promoting on his own, having his greatest promotional success with Oakland lightweight contender Johnny Gonsalves.
In the late 1950s, Dundee would hire Don Chargin as his matchmaker, and would continue promoting through the 1950s.
Dundee should not be confused with the popular Oakland boxer of the 4-round era, of the same name.
