- Date: 1934-11-26
- Location: Foot Guard Hall, Hartford, Connecticut, USA
- Referee: Henry Gerrity
"Jimmy Leto of Florida, who makes Hartford his home, outclassed and outboxed Bat Battalino, former featherweight champion of the world, in 10 fast rounds before 3,700 in the State Armory tonight. Battalino fought a courageous, persistent battle. He carried the fight to Leto from the first bell to the finish and only two or three times in the half hour of milling was the Floridian able to start Battalino retreating. Leto's left hand brought him the victory. Jimmy jabbed continually as he moved away from the charging Battalino." -Associated Press
- Referee Henry Gerrity was the sole arbiter and scored the bout 46-45 for Leto.
