Goldstein was knocked down in the 1st, and sent through the ropes at the beginning of the 2nd. Later in the 2nd, McLarnin landed a right hand out of a crouch that knocked Goldstein down again. Referee Magnolia waved off his count at eight, as it was obvious that Goldstein would not rise. As Goldstein was being carried to his corner, McLarnin did a handspring in the center of the ring.
