Joe Gans beat Max Wirsing by TKO in round 3

At the Monumental tournament-room last night Joe Gans, the colored light-weight, made Max Wirsing quit in three rounds. Gans outclassed his man in everything except gameness.
There was a crowd present, among it being Robert Fitzsimmons.
Sam Lauris and Billy Martin, light-weights, then sparred six rounds. Lauris, being the more clever, won the bout, but not until Martin had fought him the limited number of rounds.
