Joe Triner

Joe Triner (Joseph) was the former Chairman of the Illinois State Athletic Commission from at least 1936 until approx 1950. He had been an Army Captain in World War I. In April 1950, he received the Chicago Boxing Writers & Broadcasters Award for directing the recent commission revision of the state boxing code to safeguard fighters. 29 April 1950 New York Times.
