"Middleweight contender Joey Archer ruined Blair Richardson's MSG and television debut by soundly drubbing the Canadian middleweight champion in a 10 rounder Saturday night. The rangy New Yorker made it a frustrating evening for Richardson, of Sydney, Nova Scotia, as he scored with close to 200 left jabs and other assorted punches. The jabs, hooks and an occasional right reddened Richardson's face and drew blood from his nose. There were no knockdowns." -Associated Press
