Johnny Best owned and ran the Liverpool Stadium (1920s-1930s?), according to Spencer Leigh's 2012 book The Beatles in Liverpool, p. 51. His son, also named Johnny and a part-time boxing promoter himself, was the step-father of Pete Best, the Beatles' drummer from August 1960 to August 1962.
