Both Romsaas of Norway and Dampmann of Germany rushed out to the 1st round and engaged in heavy punch swapping. A hard right from Romsaas shook Dampmann in the 3rd. Then in the 4th Romsaas was floored by a German right. He got up at 9 to fend off the rushing German, a well timed counter right stopped Dampmann in his tracks and he lost the chance for a KO. In the 6th,7th and 8th, Romsaas let loose his right in countless combinations and won clearly on points.
