"Jorge Ahumada, Argentina, won a 10 round unanimous decision over Angel Oquendo, from Fajardo, Puerto Rico, in a ten spot in the Felt Forum. Ahumada, who hails from Mendoza, started off slowly in the first four rounds but from there on had the momentum. No question that Oquendo landed quite a few belts on his own but Ahumada was in complete command from the 5th round on, though several of the rounds were close. The winner scored heavily once he found the range, plus the fact that Oquendo was tiring a bit but always trying.
