Jose Napoles 131 lbs beat Bunny Grant 134 lbs by PTS in round 10 of 10
- Date: 1960-07-02
- Location: Havana, Cuba
- "Bunny was pretty nervous in the early stages and only got going in the closing rounds. He won the last three and made a pretty good impression on the Cubans." -Johnny Burns, Grant's cornerman
"Bunny Grant, promising Jamaica lightweight boxer, was outpointed by Jose Napoles, No. 1 contender for the Cuban title in a 10 round main bout in Havana last Saturday night. Grant, who returned to the island yesterday with Johnny Burns, his second for the fight, said that though he has lost, he was not disappointed as he was beaten by a man who was very good. Burns felt however that Grant would have done better, had he settled down earlier to the strange conditions and very large crowd, shouting in a strange language. Promoter Cuco Conde, who staged last Saturday's card is, according to Burns, eager to get Grant, who was dubbed "Baby Face" by the Cubans, back for another fight in Havana." -The Gleaner
