- Reyes would jump in with quick leads, while the taller Valle wanted an inside fight.
- Valle down in round 1 from a sneaky left hook that Reyes frequently jumped in with. Valle was again on the canvas shortly after from the exact same punch. However, seconds after getting up, Valle in turn dropped Reyes with a counter left hook.
- In round 2, Valle timed Reyes jumping inside, and floored him with a left hook.
- In round 3, Reyes went down from a hip shot. The referee picked up a count, but then warned Valle for a low blow at the same time.
- Seconds into round 4, Valle was wobbled by a hook, and dropped hard by another lead hook. Valle was flat on his back, and waved his hand at the ref to stop the fight. Valle was up to a stool shortly after.
