Julio Cesar Matthews 191 lbs beat Joshua Harris 195 lbs by TKO at 2:23 in round 1 of 4

Heavyweight Julio Cesar Matthews of Allentown, Pennsylvania, won his fourth consecutive bout on the undercard to the Rubio-Cuevas main event in Reading, Pennsylvania, televised on Telefutura.

Matthews, now 4-0 with 3 KOs, returned to the ring in March 2008 after a hiatus of eleven years. In his second comeback bout, Matthews made short work of Josh 'The Juice' Harris, of Youngstown, Ohio, now 1-2-1 with 1 KO, by stopping him at 2:33 of the first. Matthews landed crisp combinations and right hand leads to the head of Harris, who was dropped twice by the nonstop barrage. Almost as soon as the bout began, Matthews began to connect and Harris appeared 'out of juice', throwing no punches, out on his feet and in serious trouble. After the second knockdown, Harris was unable to get up and the bout was immediately stopped. Excellent stoppage by veteran referee Art Bayliss, who saw that Harris was out and protected him from serious injury at that point.
