Karo Murat, a German fighter who held the European Super Middleweight title, moved up in weight class and fought his first bout at the Light heavyweight limit and won the WBO Inter Continental heavyweight title with a unanimous 12 round decision over Sergey Demchenko, a Ukrainian fighting out of Italy. Murat, 20-0, 12 kos, spent the night pounding on Demchenko to the body. Demchenko, now 13-3, 10 kos, landed occasionally, but when he did, his punches had no power behind them.
