Ken Buchanan 134 lbs beat Antonio Puddu 134 lbs by TKO in round 6 of 15

"Ken Buchanan of Scotland won the EBU lightweight title Wednesday when he beat Antonio Puddu of Italy. Buchanan, the former world champion, got off to a fast start. He immediately landed a series of left jabs and then a good right cross, but shortly afterwards Puddu shook the Scot with a powerful right hook. By the 4th, Buchanan was completely in control. He continually tormented Puddu with strength-sapping straight lefts and occasionally shook him with his left hook. By the end of the round, the Italian was bleeding from a bad gash near his right eyebrow as Buchanan picked him off with rapid-fire right-left combos. In the 6th round, Buchanan, sensing victory, moved in for the kill, forcing Puddu into the corners or against the ropes. The referee stopped the fight in the 6th round." -Reuters
