"Ken Buchanan, British lightweight champion, KO'd overmatched challenger, Brian Hudson, of London, in the 5th. But bold bustler Hudson, who had never topped a bill, came off the floor in the first minute to cut Buchanan's eye and forced him to a desperation punch-up. Hudson came out of his crouch style when he spotted the Scot's blood - and paid the penalty. Buchanan tagged him to the point of the jaw with a lance-like right for the pay-off. Hudson had also sufferd a cut eye.
