"Former world lightweight champion Ken Buchanan of Scotland knocked out Joe Tetteh of Ghana after 47 seconds of the 3rd round in their scheduled 10 round bout here tonight. Buchanan showed that he is ready for a planned European title fight against Antonio Puddu of Italy in Cagliari on May 1st. The Scot was always in command and finally ended the contest by catching Tetteh flush on the jaw with a fierce left cross that put the Ghanaian flat on his face while the referee counted him out." -Reuters
