Bout Summary
Cintron knocked down Matthysse near the end of the 1st round, with a barrage of punches after he had stunned him with a right hand. In the 2nd, Matthysse was knocked down with a right hand. Shortly after rising from this knockdown, Matthysse was badly hurt by a left hand, and appeared to be out as a final right hand from Cintron put him down for the 3rd time. Referee Earl Morton immediately waved the fight off.
