- Andrews controlled the fight on the outside, although Hanna did have occasional success on the inside.
- In round 1, Hanna was hurt by a 1-2, and dropped to his knees shortly after by a series of head shots.
- In round 2, Hanna was down twice on body shots. Upon rising, Hanna was down once again on right hook. A woozy Hanna was allowed to continue, but was dropped hard for a fifth and final time by a right hook to the head. Hanna was in no condition to beat the count, but was up to his feet afterwards.
- Hanna suffered a broken jaw.
