Finnish middleweight Kurt Mattsson (74 kg. ) was still undefeated after outpointing the Swede Teofil Pollex (74,4 kg ) over 6 rounds.
The Finn was a little stiff in the opening rounds, boxing without much fantasy. However he hit the equally stiff Pollex often. In the 5th a right from Mattsson shook Pollex. Both men exploded in a toe to toe exchange which raised the roof and actually had some elegance.
