Larry Merchant was a long-time newspaper columnist who covered boxing. Currently (2010) he has been a television commentator for HBO Boxing for over 20 years. He has written several books, including Ringside Seat at the Circus, And Every Day You Take Another Bite, and The National Football Lottery. (A Larry Merchant action figure was made to coincide with the release of the movie Rocky Balboa.)
