Christian Bladt's urine test after the fight showed traces of THC (Cannabis). The commission, therefore, changed the result from a Bladt UD win to a disqualification in favour of Komjathi. Bladt was also suspended from all pro boxing until November 17, 2009. Bladt appealed the decision and on January 21, 2008 the sentence was reduced to 114 days from the date of the fight.
