Laszlo Papp made his first defense of his EBU middleweight title against French Hippolyte Annex. 5500 at the Sport's Palace saw a very clean fight without fouls and boring clinching. In the 9th a left hook from southpaw Papp floored Annex. The Frenchman got up at 6, but was judged unfit to continue.
