"Lem Franklin, the Cleveland scrapper who is a leading contender for Joe Louis' heavyweight boxing crown, scored a TKO over Tony Musto of Chicago last night in the second stanza of their scheduled 10 round bout. In the 2nd round Franklin caught Musto in the Chicagoan's corner and floored him for a count of nine with a right to the heart and a loud left and three ripping rights to the jaw.
