"Len Harvey, British middleweight champion, lost his second straight decision to Vince Dundee last night while for the second straight time a crowd of 11,500 booed, cat-called, and protested vigorously that the Briton had won. The battle was even more exciting than their first tilt. Favoring his right hand as the lethal weapon tonight, Harvey nailed Vince on the chin in the 3rd and had him in distress. In the 5th Dundee had to cling to the ropes and weave almost to the floor to get away from a terrific two-fisted barrage the Briton poured into his head. Then after fading through the 7th, 8th and 9th rounds, the British titleholder came back in the 11th to measure Vince with a numbing right cross to the chin and hurt him again in the final round with his rifle rights to the head. Dundee probably caught the eyes of one judge and referee with his courage and ability to take the solidest shots Harvey had and still fight his way clear. Vince worked unceasingly on Harvey's body and easily outroughed the slender Briton in the close quarter exchanges." -Associated Press
