  • According to the Feb. 23, 1915 Tacoma Daily News, Christian (who sometimes fought as Leo Bishop), was found guilty in police court of stealing a calf from Albert Dougherty, a Puyallup valley rancher. He was sentenced to six months in jail after he pleaded guilty. He had had the calf butchered, and he sold the meat to ranchers and housewives.
  • Per the May 30, 1916 Tacoma Daily News, he was a member of the South Tacoma Tigers semi-professional baseball team.
