Norwegian-Jewish amateur boxer of the 1930s.

Born 23.05 1912 in Sweden. Died in Auschwitz 26.10 1942, victim of Holocaust. Profession: Dental Techincian.

  • Fought in the lightweight division from 1930-1936. Never won a National title, but was twice on the National team of Norway. His parents, a sister and 3 brothers were also murdered in Auschwitz. One brother survived, also a boxer, Oscar Leventhal (1908-1982). Family came from Latvia. Leo Leventhal changed his family name to Leo Lögård in 1939, and is listed in the official documents over Holocaust- victims from Norway under that name.
