"Lloyd Marshall, 169, won a unanimous decision from Anton Christoforidis, 168, here tonight before 12,099 fans. Marshall landed many good, solid right hand punches and feinted cleverly with his left. He floored the Greek for a no-count in the 2nd and had him groggy in the 4th. By the 7th there was little doubt as to who would win the fight. Christoforidis landed a number of heavy blows in the 2nd and throughout the fight but failed to follow up properly. Marshall was just the reverse. After a good blow, he swarmed all over his game opponent. He was apparently very fresh at the end of the fight." -United Press
